Fridgi ("we", "us", "the service") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Fridgi is run by an independent developer (Alexander Domert). For any questions about your data, contact alexanderdomert32@gmail.com.

2. What data do we collect?

• Google account (sign-in) – you sign in with Google. We receive your email address and basic profile information from Google solely to create and authenticate your account. We do not post anything to your Google account or access your contacts.
• Fridge or receipt photo (optional) – if you use fridge scanning, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API and Google Cloud Vision (OCR) to identify ingredients, and a text query (no image) is sent to Open Food Facts for product lookup. If you scan a grocery receipt, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API to extract line items. Anthropic's Claude API is kept as a fallback for older scan modes. None of these images are stored by Fridgi after analysis.
• Fridge inventory – the ingredients you add to your kitchen.
• Shopping list – items you add to your list.
• Saved recipes, cooked meals and in-app activity – so we can show your history and personalise suggestions.
• Preferences – diet, budget, language, units, currency and similar settings.
• Voice input (Cook Mode, optional) – when you enable hands-free mode or tap the microphone in Cook Mode, your microphone is captured and audio is sent to Google's Speech-to-Text service (for wake-word detection of "Hej kocken") and/or Google Gemini (for voice questions and answers). When you turn on the camera mode in Cook Mode ("show Fridgi the pan"), low-resolution video frames and microphone audio are streamed over a direct connection to Google's Gemini Live API while the mode is active. The voice activity detector that segments your speech runs entirely on your device; only the final captured utterance leaves your phone. Fridgi does not store the audio or video after the response is returned. You can disable Cook Mode voice/camera at any time.
• TikTok recipe import (optional) – when you paste a TikTok URL into Fridgi to import a recipe, we fetch the public caption and creator name via TikTok's public oEmbed endpoint. For video-grounded imports, the video may be downloaded to our server temporarily for analysis by Google Gemini and then deleted. Creator attribution (handle + link to the original video) is preserved on the saved recipe.

Diet, allergens and food aversions are health-adjacent data. You provide these voluntarily during onboarding (or by editing your profile later) so the chef engine can filter out unsafe or unwanted recipes. Legal basis: your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). We never share this data with insurance providers, advertisers, or any third party except the AI providers needed to filter recipes (Google Gemini, optionally Anthropic Claude as legacy fallback). You can remove or change these preferences at any time in Settings.

We do not collect contacts or camera images beyond those you actively submit. If you subscribe to Super Member, payments are handled by the platform you subscribe on — Apple or Google in the mobile apps (validated for us by RevenueCat) and Stripe on the web. Fridgi never sees or stores your card details.

Location (optional): the "nearby stores" feature asks for browser location permission. Your position is used temporarily to find nearby stores (sent to our server and to OpenStreetMap Nominatim). It is not stored in our database and is never used for tracking or advertising. You can decline – the app works without it.

3. Why do we process this data?

• Provide the app's features (chef suggestions, recipe browsing, shopping list, price data, family meal planning)
• Save your settings and preferences between sessions
• Analyse the fridge or receipt photo so you don't have to enter ingredients manually
• Understand which features are used (aggregated, pseudonymous product analytics) so we can improve the app

We never sell your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising.

4. Prices & market scope

Price data is collected daily from Swedish grocery stores and is informational only – we don't guarantee prices are always current. Prices shown in USD are an approximate conversion of the real Swedish prices at a fixed rate and reflect Swedish stores, not local pricing in your country.

5. Third-party services

• Google Gemini API – primary vision provider for fridge scans, receipt scans, the chef dish-image preview, and the voice/video Cook Mode conversation (text-and-audio replies). Images and audio are sent directly and not stored by Fridgi. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini Live API – when you enable Cook Mode camera ("show Fridgi the pan"), low-resolution video frames and microphone audio are streamed over a direct connection to Google so the AI can answer cooking questions about what it sees. Streaming stops the moment you disable the camera. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Speech-to-Text (via Web Speech API) – when you enable the hands-free wake word in Cook Mode ("Hej kocken"), audio is streamed continuously to Google's Speech-to-Text service for hot-word matching. Audio is processed in transit and not stored by Fridgi. You can disable hands-free mode at any time. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Cloud Vision (OCR) – reads label text from fridge-scan frames so we can match real products. Images are processed and discarded after analysis. GCP Privacy Notice
• Open Food Facts – public product database. We send a text query derived from OCR results (no image, no user data) to look up products. Open Food Facts Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API – fallback fridge-photo analysis for legacy scan modes; image is sent directly and not stored by Fridgi. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• TikTok – when you choose to import a TikTok recipe, we contact TikTok's public oEmbed endpoint with the URL you pasted to fetch the caption and creator name. We do not have access to your TikTok account. TikTok Privacy Policy
• Stripe – payment processing for the Super Member subscription on the web. Card details are processed by Stripe, not Fridgi. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play & RevenueCat – in the mobile apps, subscriptions are purchased through Apple or Google, who process your payment; RevenueCat validates the receipt on our behalf so we can unlock Super Member. We never receive your card details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

• Sentry (EU region) – error/crash reporting to debug the app. No personal data is sent intentionally. Sentry Privacy Policy
• PostHog (EU region) – pseudonymous product analytics so we can see which features are used. No advertising IDs, no cross-site tracking. You can opt out in Settings. PostHog Privacy Policy
• DigitalOcean VPS – price database (no personal data stored here)

Our commitments

What we explicitly do not do:

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not track you across other websites or apps.
• We do not use your microphone, camera, fridge contents, or diet data for advertising.
• We do not use your AI conversations to train models. Calls to Google, Anthropic and other AI providers are transactional under their respective privacy policies.

6. Storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). No passwords are stored in plain text – sign-in is handled via Google and Supabase Auth.

7. Your rights (GDPR / similar laws)

You have the right to access, correct, delete ("right to be forgotten"), object to processing, and export your data. You can delete your account and all linked data directly in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. Contact alexanderdomert32@gmail.com – we respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and similar storage

Fridgi uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. A session token is stored in the browser to keep you signed in. If you opt in to product analytics in Settings, PostHog stores a pseudonymous identifier in your browser so we can group your events; you can opt out at any time and the identifier is cleared.

Native Android app: Fridgi for Android is a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) that runs the fridgi.se web app inside a Chrome Custom Tab. Cookies, session tokens and locally-stored data follow the same rules as the web app. The native Start screen itself uses no analytics or third-party SDKs.

9. Children's privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

For material changes we will notify you by email or an in-app message. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Fridgi ("vi", "oss", "tjänsten") värnar om din integritet. Denna policy beskriver vilka uppgifter vi samlar in, varför, och hur de hanteras.

1. Vem ansvarar för dina uppgifter?

Fridgi drivs av en enskild utvecklare (Alexander Domert). Kontakta alexanderdomert32@gmail.com vid frågor om din data.

2. Vilka uppgifter samlar vi in?

• Google-konto (inloggning) – du loggar in med Google. Vi tar emot din e-postadress och grundläggande profiluppgifter från Google enbart för att skapa och autentisera ditt konto. Vi publicerar inget på ditt Google-konto och läser inte dina kontakter.
• Kylfoto eller kvittofoto (valfritt) – om du använder kylskåpsskanning skickas bilden till Googles Gemini API och Google Cloud Vision (OCR) för att identifiera ingredienser, och en textfråga (ingen bild) skickas till Open Food Facts för produktsökning. Vid kvittoskanning skickas bilden till Googles Gemini API för att läsa ut radposter. Anthropics Claude API används som fallback för äldre skanningslägen. Inga av dessa bilder lagras av Fridgi efter analysen.
• Kylinventarie – vilka ingredienser du lagt in.
• Inköpslista – varor du lagt till.
• Sparade recept, tillagade måltider och aktivitet i appen – för historik och personliga förslag.
• Preferenser – kost, budget, språk, enheter, valuta m.m.
• Röstinmatning (Kock-läget, valfritt) – när du aktiverar hands-free-läget eller trycker på mikrofonen i Kock-läget fångas din mikrofon och ljud skickas till Googles Speech-to-Text-tjänst (för att känna igen väckord som "Hej kocken") och/eller Google Gemini (för röstfrågor och svar). När du sätter på kameraläget i Kock-läget ("visa Fridgi pannan") strömmas lågupplösta videobilder och mikrofonljud över en direkt anslutning till Googles Gemini Live API så länge läget är aktivt. Den röstdetektor som segmenterar ditt tal körs helt på din enhet; endast den slutligt fångade meningen lämnar din telefon. Fridgi lagrar inte ljudet eller videon efter att svaret returnerats. Du kan stänga av röst/kamera i Kock-läget när som helst.
• TikTok-receptimport (valfritt) – när du klistrar in en TikTok-länk i Fridgi för att importera ett recept hämtar vi den offentliga bildtexten och kreatörens namn via TikToks publika oEmbed-endpoint. För videogrundade importer kan videon tillfälligt laddas ner till vår server för analys av Google Gemini och raderas sedan. Kreatörs-attribution (handle + länk till originalvideon) behålls på det sparade receptet.

Kost, allergier och matpreferenser är hälsorelaterad data. Du anger dessa frivilligt vid onboarding (eller genom att redigera din profil senare) så att kock-motorn kan filtrera bort osäkra eller oönskade recept. Rättslig grund: ditt uttryckliga samtycke (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). Vi delar aldrig dessa uppgifter med försäkringsbolag, annonsörer eller någon tredje part utöver de AI-leverantörer som behövs för att filtrera recept (Google Gemini, valfritt Anthropic Claude som legacy-fallback). Du kan ta bort eller ändra dessa preferenser när som helst i Inställningar.

Vi samlar inte in kontakter eller kamerabilder utöver de du aktivt skickar. Vid prenumeration på Super Member hanteras betalningar av den plattform du prenumererar på — Apple eller Google i mobilapparna (validerat åt oss av RevenueCat) och Stripe på webben. Fridgi ser eller lagrar aldrig dina kortuppgifter.

Platsdata (valfritt): Funktionen "Butiker i närheten" ber om platstillstånd i webbläsaren. Positionen används tillfälligt för att hitta butiker nära dig (skickas till vår server och OpenStreetMap Nominatim). Den lagras inte i vår databas och används inte för spårning eller marknadsföring. Du kan neka – appen fungerar utan.

3. Varför behandlar vi uppgifterna?

• Tillhandahålla appens funktioner (kock-förslag, receptbläddring, inköpslista, prisdata, familjematplan)
• Spara dina inställningar mellan sessioner
• Analysera kyl- eller kvittofotot så att du slipper skriva in ingredienser manuellt
• Förstå vilka funktioner som används (aggregerad, pseudonym produktanalys) så att vi kan förbättra appen

Vi säljer aldrig dina uppgifter och använder dem inte för reklam.

4. Priser & marknad

Prisdata hämtas dagligen från svenska butiker och är informativ – vi garanterar inte att priser alltid är aktuella. Priser i USD är en ungefärlig omräkning av de riktiga svenska priserna till fast kurs och avser svenska butiker.

5. Tredjepartstjänster

Våra åtaganden

Vad vi uttryckligen inte gör:

• Vi säljer, hyr ut eller delar inte din data med annonsörer.
• Vi spårar dig inte mellan andra webbplatser eller appar.
• Vi använder inte din mikrofon, kamera, kylinnehåll eller kostdata för reklam.
• Vi använder inte dina AI-samtal för att träna modeller. Anrop till Google, Anthropic och andra AI-leverantörer är transaktionella enligt deras respektive integritetspolicies.

6. Lagring och säkerhet

Dina uppgifter lagras i Supabase med krypterad anslutning (HTTPS/TLS). Inga lösenord lagras i klartext – inloggning sker via Google och Supabase Auth.

7. Dina rättigheter (GDPR)

Du har rätt att få tillgång till, rätta, radera ("rätten att bli glömd"), invända mot behandling och exportera dina uppgifter. Du kan radera ditt konto och all kopplad data direkt i appen (Inställningar → Radera konto) eller via e-post. Kontakta alexanderdomert32@gmail.com – vi svarar inom 30 dagar.

8. Cookies och liknande lagring

Fridgi använder inga reklamcookies och ingen spårning mellan webbplatser. En sessions-token lagras i webbläsaren för att hålla dig inloggad. Om du aktiverar produktanalys i Inställningar lagrar PostHog en pseudonym identifierare i din webbläsare så att vi kan gruppera dina händelser; du kan stänga av detta när som helst och identifieraren raderas då.

Native Android-app: Fridgi för Android är en Trusted Web Activity (TWA) som kör webbappen fridgi.se inuti en Chrome Custom Tab. Cookies, sessions-tokens och lokalt lagrad data följer samma regler som webbappen. Den native startskärmen själv använder ingen analys eller tredjeparts-SDK:er.

9. Barns integritet

Tjänsten riktar sig inte till barn under 13 år. Vi samlar inte medvetet in uppgifter från barn.

10. Ändringar

Vid väsentliga ändringar meddelar vi via e-post eller i appen. Fortsatt användning innebär godkännande.
